| Sightseeing in Moscow |
Medical Assistance in Moscow Healthcare and medical emergencies Hospitals in Moscow are inconsistent in quality and accessibility. If you walk into a typical hospital you will be shocked by the lack of sanitation and it’s dilapidated state. Most Muscovites work their way through the health system with the guiding hand of a friend in the know. If you don’t have a local friend in the know, then it’s safer to go one of the Western style clinics. There are three leading clinics in Moscow. The European Medical Center. http://www.emcmos.ru/en/. Tel. +7 (495) 933-0002. Mostly European and European-trained doctors. Located in the center of the city. The American Medical Center. http://www.amcenter.ru/en. Tel. +7 (495) 933-7700. Mostly American-trained local doctors. Located just out of the center. This used to be the best option in Moscow until 2006 when most of their top doctors left to join the newly opened American Medical Clinic. The American Medical Clinic. http://www.americanclinic.ru/eng/. +7 (495) 937-5757. Mostly American-trained local doctors. This is my favorite clinic and the one I recommend. Located just outside of the center.
