Vyazemsky Estate

Located deep within the spacious front courtyard, the manor house of the former Golitsyn estate was built in the first half of the 18th century. In 1790 the estate was —acquired by Prince A. I. Vyazemsky, father of the poet R A. Vyazemsky, who was born there in1792. N. A. Karamzin, who was married to the poet's sister, lived for a longtime Tin the house. In 1812 the estate was sold to A. T. Tutolmin and later passed to the Princes Dolgoruky. The artist V. A. Serov lived on the first floor of the house in the 1890s. During the Soviet period the building accommodated the Marx and Engels Museum. Currently it houses the Assembly of the Nobility. http://www.nobility.ru/

The blind wall and gate also date to the 18th century.
