Konoplin House

In the sixteenth century this was the site of the estate of the Princes Prozorovsky. The manor was acquired by the Counts Yaguzhinsky in the 18th century. In 1828 E. D. Tyurin built a new three-story house in the Empire style, and a fourth floor was added in 1899. In the latter half of the 19th century furnished rooms were rented out by E. R Ivanova, a relative of Fyodor Dostoevsky, who stayed here on his visits to Moscow.
