Mini-Hotels in Moscow
Unlike in St. Petersburg where mini-hotels pop up on every corner, for some reason they have not yet caught on in Moscow. There is one true mini-hotel in the center which we recommend.
Suharevka Mini-Hotel
Located on the Garden Ring Road in the center, near the Chisty Prudi and Suharevskaya metro stations, Suharevka is a wonderful budegt alternative to expensive hotels in the center. It has 9 private rooms for two and 3 dorm-style rooms. It occupies the entire floor of a historical building and has a full kitchen as well as two living room/lounges where you can meet fellow travelers. Has free wi-fi and internet. Has 5 showers and 4 toilets which are shared among the rooms. Operated by a friendly American / Russian husband and wife team. Book early because as this is one of the few alternatives to hotels in the center, it gets filled fast.
