About Us
Our guide to Moscow was started by a small group of young local Russians and foreign expatriates who were disappointed that there was no truly independent, in-depth guide to Moscow available on the internet. All of our editors live in Moscow (unlike those other online guides who have editors who live in Great Britain or the United States and visit Moscow once every three years to update!). Thus the material in our guide is fresh and up to date.
Moreover, we are a completely non-profit, independent guide and unlike the other leading guides on the web we don't earn commissions from sending our trusting guests to our "recommended" hotels, visa services and taxis. Rather, we are supported through a very modest grant from the Moscow Chamber for Independent Tourism. Our objective is to build a truly valuable, independent resource which will enable foreign guests to navigate the sometimes confusing path to Moscow and help to bring more tourists to understand and enjoy our beautiful, mysterious, ancient city.
